This cooling paddle is a great way to rapidly cool soups and other foods that can't go into a blast chiller. Simply fill with water and freeze, then place in your piping hot foods to rapidly bring them out of the temperature danger zone. Once cool, remove the paddle and store your foods until ready for service. The smooth exterior of the paddle makes it easy to remove foods to reduce waste, while also ensuring the paddle is easy to clean and sanitize. It also has a wide temperature range from -20 degrees Fahrenheit to 195 degrees Fahrenheit.This paddle comes with two caps and one smart chart that serves as a visual representation of how to use the Rapi-Kool® cooling paddle.

To use, simply fill the paddle with water to the line and then freeze it. Place directly into piping hot liquids to cool quickly and evenly.

This cooling paddle is made of durable polycarbonate to stand tough against freezing-heating cycles.

This paddle is an essential HACCP component. For the best results, allow boiling soups or stews to cool below 190 degrees Fahrenheit before inserting the paddle. It is also advised that the frozen paddle adjust to room temperature for a short period of time, before entering very hot foods. If not used properly, this extreme temperature change could shorten the paddle's lifespan.

Used it to cool big pots of soup, after the 4th use, the side cracked and now I can't use it. Wasn't dropped or anything, just seemed to crack from the stark temperature change.

Paddle helps with cooling down hot stock much quicker in comparison to an ice bath alone. This isn't something completely necessary, but if you are concerned about getting the temp cooled quickly enough to keep your stock out of a dangerous temperature, this is a good tool to have in the kitchen to help with cooling just about anything.

Health department requires proper cool down of soaps and hot liquids. This product is perfect for big stock pot and holds up to walk in a cold environments.

Stop wasting your time cooling down soups with an ice water bath, buy this cooling paddle and save time! Cools down soups faster than ice water bath! If you're in a rush combine both methods!

        

For food safety you need to be able to drop your food temperature in a safe method and this is what that cooling pad allows you're able to put it into a big stack of broth and bring the temperature to a safe minimum

        

This product is a must have for any kitchen. Proper cooling of products is such a key to food safety and these cooling paddles do wonders for taking hot product quickly through the cooling process.

We have several of these in our high volume establishment and they hold up well to the rigors of daily use and washing. They are very affordable too.

        

I don't know how anyone could live without this simple device. I use it to cool shrimp and crab after boiling so that I can cool them enough to stop the cooking and steep them in the seasoning. I also cool soups, chile and stews in order to reduce their temperature before I put them in the refrigerator; so that I don't raise the temperature in the refrigerator and cause a lot of the contents to reach the temperature "danger point" and start to grow bacteria. I keep mine in the door of my freezer and have it ready whenever I need it. You/I can't afford to be without it.......

        

I bought two of these over a year ago and they have seen frequent use in that time. I regularly make large batches of soup to portion out and freeze for meals. These coolers have drastically cut down on the amount of time it takes to cool the soup. It gives me piece of mind knowing my food is cooled properly for safety reasons. They have been very durable so far.

        

This product works like it should. I just didn't think about how big it was. So if I make a small pot of soup, I have to put it in a larger pot in order to fit the paddle in. Minor adjustment for home use that's all.

        

These cooling paddles work very well for rapidly cooling large stock pots of stew or sauce. It is easier than separating into small containers and using an ice bath.

        

Not a quality product lasted 1 time and was used in a sauce well under the 195 temperature. Would not recommend this product. We have used cooling sticks for years.

These not only fulfill health department requirements but they also work great. We are excited to deploy them as much as we can to cool our liquids down.

        

These cooling paddles have not worked well for me. They break really easy. I have tried several different times with these same paddles and they all break.

These huge 128 oz. Rapid cooling ice sticks are great for ice bathing! We use these to cool down our broths and they do a tremendous job for us. They are pretty big, but it's necessary to have that much ice.

        

I purchased 2 of these for our 40 quart soup pot. I use once a week, and I have had it for about 6 months now. The only complain is that it has to be placed up-right in the freezer though

        

These Rapid Cool Ice paddles are and absolute necessity in our manufacturing facility. These paddles allow for easy and safe cooling of our juices and syrups.

This works great for cooling down liquids fast. I bought it to bring down the temps of stocks and broths. It works well and saves me time.

        

Perfect item to help cool items and help them through the temperature danger zone. Our local health board suggested this item as it is commonly used. It is durable and does the job.

        

These work great to quickly cool large batches of beans to proper temps. The problem is they crack when freezing. I think the ones we have had break were over filled.

        

Easy to clean and it works just as intended to. Comes with an extra cap so if you accidentally over fill and crack a cap, you're not left with a giant expensive water bottle.

        

Used the 64 oz before, but found this size much better, and it fits perfectly the larger stock pots. It also is long and thin, so it can reach almost the entire height of a pot.

        

San Jamar Cooling Paddle is easy to use...just fill with water screw on the top and freeze. Helps chill food fast from the inside out. The exterior is smooth which makes it easy to remove food which reduces waste and makes it easier to clean.

        

I absolutely do not know how kitchens survived before these. This cooling paddle is placed in the center of where the heat is and cools the sauce or soup down, which gets it out of the danger zone quickly.

        

Someone managed to crack the one we had so I ordered two more. These were delivered super fast. They are pretty durable and do exactly what they are intended to do, and the health department is happy when you cool heated foods rapidly before placing in the refrigerator.

        

The easiest and healthiest way to cool down all of your large batches of soups, bisques, sauces and marinade, that is also health department approved.

This is a good paddle for cooling soups stocks or large amount of sauces. It is great for HACCP use because it cools liquids very rapidly.

If you have the freezer space to store these cooling paddles, they are very helpful for cooling large batches of soupy food quickly, dropping the tem about 20 degrees in ten minutes.

        

The rapid cooling paddle is a must when cooling down large quanities of stews or soups to a safe temperture. The paddle is well made and works well.

        

I used this paddle to cool down the wort when I'm brewing my own beer. I think it worked great. The only problem is that it's only rated up to 195 degrees, which is below boiling. So I had to lower the wort to 195 before using the paddle. Still, it cooled the wort down significantly faster than an ice bath.
